Being a chef is not an easy job – it requires dedication, skill, experience, and a lot of practice!
The 20th of October is International Chefs Day, a day to celebrate and educate people about the culinary arts, and just how amazing Chefs around the world truly are, as they innovate, inspire, and aspire to new creative heights on a daily basis.
The concept of International Chefs Day was created in 2004 by the late Dr. Bill Gallagher, who was president of Worldchefs – an organisation devoted to passing on skills and knowledge to future generations, and representing culinary professionals at all levels of the industry.
It was Dr. Gallagher’s goal to use this day to celebrate cooking and to emphasise the responsibility of chefs to impart their knowledge and culinary skills to the next generation., and we think this is such an important responsibility.
